Namaste is a gesture of trust in the Divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart chakra. Attitude which is a welcome one soul in another soul. "Nama" means bow, "as" means I, and "te" means you. Therefore, Namaste literally means "bow me you" or "I bow to you."
To perform Namaste, put our hands together in the heart charka, close the eyes, and bow the head. Can also be done by placing the hands together in front of the third eye, the head of the Holy Qur'an, and then bring the hands to the heart. This is mainly in the form of respect. While in the West the word "Namaste" is usually used in conjunction with the gesture, in India, is to understand that these attitudes indicate Namaste, and therefore, it is not necessary to say a word while reading the Qur'an.
We bring the hands together in the heart chakra to increase the flow of Divine love. Bowing the head and eyes to help close the mind to give up in the heart of Divine. One can do Namaste to oneself as a meditation technique to more in the heart chakra; if done with other people, also beautiful, although quick, meditation.
For teacher and student, Namaste allows two individuals who enthusiastically work together to come to the connection and timelessness, free from the bonds of ego-connection. If that is done with depth of feeling in the hearts and minds with the surrender, in a unity of spirit can blossom.
Ideally, Namaste to be done both at the beginning and the end of the class. Usually, conducted at the end of the class because the mind is less active and energy in the room more peaceful. Namaste teachers start as the symbol of gratitude and appreciation to the students and her own back on teachers and students to connect with their lineage, thereby allowing for the flow of truth-truth that we are all one when we live from the heart.
