Thursday, January 29, 2009

There seems to be a single text that lists the contraindications of each technique of yoga, the raison d'être - the monumental task of listing, categorizing, and the matching of each technique, with a contraindication, a feat that would take years to complete. Therefore, let's take a look at the technical group, which coincides with the appropriate advice.

Standing postures seems pretty easy for most of us, but can still be very difficult for the legs, regardless of age or physical condition. Many are commonly seen standing poses Guerrero (Virabhadrasana) positions.

Here are some warnings, which will open your eyes to change their practice and their students. At the same time, research and always remain current in their knowledge of yoga posture contraindications, as doctors and medical research sports changes daily.

General guidelines for all Standing Postures

If you are pregnant, not for extended periods of time. If you are in the third quarter, please use a chair and change its position and raises warrior. Most of all, unless you are an expert teacher, please work with a certified yoga teacher and competent prenatal specialist.

Never tighten or implement isometric strength in the muscles of the legs and arms. These positions wonderful results without exceeding the limits. People may collapse more effort in performing asanas standing, especially when practicing on hot days, hot rooms, and the sun.

Never lock your joints. Hyperextension of any group tends to lead to premature wear of the skeleton. Who wants arthritis before? You should not block any activity in the joints, especially the practice of Hatha Yoga, which is designed to improve the long-term health.

If you have high blood pressure or heart problems, you should be moderate in their practice of permanent positions and consult your doctor or cardiologist. Why care here?

People often hold their breath when practicing strenuous positions. Never hold your breath if you have high blood pressure. Be cautious about keeping their hands on their heads for long periods of time. The heart of a person that people with high blood pressure, pumps less blood on every beat, someone with high blood pressure.

When I perform Guerrero, are not in your hands if you are experiencing problems or neck has a pre-existing neck injury. Warrior II: Avoid if you have diarrhea, and not force the head or neck forward, if you have neck problems.

Guerrero III and all Permanent Stances: Use your core muscles, instead of excessive stress on your joints instead. Adequate head, neck, shoulder, spine, back, hip, knee, ankle and adaptation is essential. Never put excessive stress on any joint. If in doubt, always consult a doctor or specialist.
